Demo rate cardFrom £9.50 a month; £100.00 excess; cover up to £330,000.00
The pound values and percentages on this page are invented AcornBank product terms, chosen for a realistic bank-style example. They are not current market offers, an invitation to deposit or invest money or a forecast of what a real bank will pay.

Premium assumptions: a story customer aged 35 with a fictional address in Acornshire, no previous claims and a £100.00 excess. Real premiums depend on real details; these depend on nothing.
A worked claim: a leaf roof leaks over the nut store
| Item | Model amount |
|---|---|
| Cost of the loss | £1,200.00 |
| Excess | £100.00 |
| Paid to the story customer | £1,100.00 |
What the model covers
- Storm, flood and falling-branch damage to the drey
- Theft of contents by magpies or otherwise
- Accidental damage to the leaf ledger
What it does not cover
- Wear and tear, including roofs that were always going to leak
- Acorns eaten by the policyholder
- Anything in a real house, because none is insured
A claim is paid less the excess, never more than the cover limit. No real policy, claim or insurer exists behind this page.
Drey Home Insurance is buildings and contents insurance in the Insurance range, used for putting the drey back together after a bad day. Its live rate card, summary and worked tables sit above this text and update whenever the product record changes.
Who fits the fictional example?
A story customer who owns or rents a fictional drey in one of the twenty regions. These are character-selection rules for the demo, not a real eligibility assessment. The scenario assumes the opening amount or limit fits the product range and that any required guardian, notice period or repayment plan is in place. A customer story is not evidence that a real application would be accepted.
See the whole Insurance range or compare every product on the rates page.
What the example does not promise
All figures are invented and shown to make the demo useful to read and crawl. No money is held, no application is available, and no deposit-protection, regulatory or tax-wrapper status is claimed. Calculations do not account for personal tax, inflation or unstated changes in rates. The fictional bank manager can guarantee only that the next paragraph contains no real acorns.
