Insurance — Cover for Dreys, Travels and Tails

Home, travel and life cover with demo premiums, excesses and a worked claim on every page.

An umbrella sheltering two acorns.
A fictional bank, a real sense of humour. All people, places, products and figures are invented. No real banking or financial advice. About this demo.
An umbrella sheltering two acorns.
FROM £9.50 A MONTH

Drey Home Insurance

Cover for the building, the contents or both. The premium depends on the cover level, the excess is fixed, and the worked claim shows exactly what the story customer would receive.

An umbrella sheltering two acorns.
FROM £5.95 A MONTH

Bushy Tail Travel Insurance

One policy for a year of journeys. Cover levels differ by destination, the excess is small, and the worked claim shows a lost suitcase turning into a payout.

An umbrella sheltering two acorns.
FROM £8.20 A MONTH

Squirrel Life Cover

A fixed sum for a fixed term at a fixed premium. The example assumes a 35-year-old story customer; the tables show the premium by sum assured and what twenty years of premiums add up to.

Insurance questions

Shared with every product page in this range and the full FAQ list.

What does an excess mean?

The first part of any claim the customer pays. A £1,200 loss with a £100 excess pays £1,100. Life cover has no excess.

How are the premiums worked out?

They are demo figures for a story customer aged 35 with no claims. Real premiums depend on real details; these depend on nothing at all.

Can I cancel a policy?

In the model, yes: a 14-day cooling-off period applies and after that a pro-rata refund. Life cover simply stops when premiums stop.

Does any of this insure anything real?

No. No policy, insurer, claim or payout exists. Every page is a worked example of how insurance figures fit together.

All FAQs

Three fictional policies: cover for the drey, cover for journeys beyond the forest and life cover for the squirrels who depend on you. Each page shows the monthly premium by cover level, the excess, what the model covers and excludes, and a worked claim so the numbers add up.

How to choose

Start with what would hurt most to lose. Drey Home Insurance protects the building, the contents or both; Bushy Tail Travel Insurance covers trips for a year at a time; Squirrel Life Cover pays a fixed sum if the worst happens during the term. Premiums are demo figures for a story customer, not quotes, and nothing here is insurance advice.

Other ranges: Current accounts, Savings, Mortgages, Loans, Credit cards, Investments. Every figure on this page comes from the live product record, so a changed rate is reflected immediately; the rates page compares the whole range.
