From a hollow to a whole forest
In the entirely imaginary Year of the Particularly Large Acorn, Pip Nibbles stored three nuts in a stump. Hazel asked for a receipt. Pip handed her a leaf, and AcornBank was born in the space between a joke and a bookkeeping error.
The first branch had one seat, no roof and a hedgehog who refused to stop calling it a hedge fund. Expansion followed when somebody discovered a second stump.
Today, in the story
Our invented forest has twenty regions and hundreds of branch tales. The founding leaf remains in a display case, although the original receipt now has a bite taken out of the total.
